Ben~ah the Gold Wing hey. I suppose that would be a better bet 'cos you get an

ash tray for ya pipe with one of them :} Plus a coffee maker and toaster too.

But like the Pan, is it an old mans bike Ben :dunno:

BIF, I can just see you on one of them and you can listen to Celine while you cruse along :puke:

If I ever even come close to thinking about fitting frames and racks and boxes to my beautiful machine then somebody please punch me and remind me that there is an alternative.................

Having been tested at speeds of above 170mph (one holds the speed record for a bike trailer) with with no adverse effect on the bike's handling, they carry twice the weight that your boxes will I'd certainly rather go this route.................

What I find strange about ..........

........ all this discussion, is that when I originally said that my 'Bird weaved with the luggage fitted, you all said "no they don't".

Obviously things have moved in regards to my bike, but where were all these comments when I was asking ?

For the latest on my POS, see the "Decision time is here thread" ........

regards

a happier bunny today

Very true...............BUT..........it doesn't weave all over the place if you have it set up properly...........your bike was/is an exception because it was buggered without panniers!!!!

I can honestly say that we would much rather not have panniers on the Bird. But its a little difficult to do 10 days in the Pyrenees moving to different hotels every night without reasonable luggage space.

Have to laugh at Joeboy and Psycho.............calling panniers for the pipe brigade when look at what they are buying.............BMWs :} don't forget to put those slippers down on your christmas lists:f

I'm not really buying the Beemer

It was a wind up as I managed to blagg a test ride.
Although I did enjoy the ADVENTURE and if I had loads of dosh (dreaming)
I'd get one for a winter bike .

Still , I'd like a pair of slippers & pipe , and if I'm pushing mi luck - Could I have a deer stalker for mi bonce?:dunno:

Samster~don't worry I'll be first in queue to remind you

oh, and the same applies if ever I catch you or you catch me:
1. down a garden centre on a summer Sunday
2. fishing (unless it's Shark or Marlin fishing in the Bahamas)
3. playing golf on any day of the week

BIF~ya didn't actually believe we're buying beemers :} If ya did, ya don't know us well enough yet :t
That's no to say the GS Adventurer would be a good choice if I had to ride all year round and it was my sole method of transport. I could also get a deer stalker, a pair of plus four's and tweed leather jacket !!!
