Going to work last night, as I passed through a Gatso at 28mph in a 30mph zone, I was overtaken by a car doing more than 30mph, I don't know if the Gatso went off but it got me thinking, how does the Gatso know which car was the one that was speeding? do they have seperate cameras inside one for each lane, as there would have been the possibility that he was keeping to the speed limit and I was speeding on the inside.

Ok.
On a single carriageway, why do they put the calibration lines on the wrong side of the road as well? Is it to stop people driving on the wrong side to stop getting nabbed? :dunno:

And here's another rant :rant:

What about lorries?

Am I right in saying that in certain circumstances the speed limit for a lorry is 10mph lower than for a car, therefore the lorry can be doing 10mph more above the speed limit before it is nabbed by a camera.:dunno:

Good point Steve I know when I moved up from chelmsford I got stopped on the A1 in Nottingham for speeding in a Ford Cargo, I argued with the copper that I was actually under the speed limit and he informed me that the maximum I could do was 50mph on the A1, he let me off... nice man

BTW I think that lass in your Avatar's Tits are sore by now. :}
