I will not forget the damp day in Dublin... A bar had a live singer ( as opposed to a dead one ? ) and it was heaving when we went past it
Walked down to the little lanes and had fish and chips before strolling back.
By the time we returned the pub had spilled out and the whole walkway was jammed with folk singing their hearts out..
The sun in the sky was not to be seen, but the sun in that street shone from everyone there..

Try Clifden about an hour on the coast from Galway City, its like New Years Eve every night! The Griffin Pub in particular is a favourite. great craic
