Some roads in France trialled lane splitting, but accident numbers for motorcycles and scooters increased over the 5-year test period - so it's now banned.

Just had a little browse around and saw this - I remember it well!

Usual political nonsense. When the "test period" was announced, more people than ever went out and bought bikes - mostly new and inexperienced riders, according to some reports.

Anyway - it's all backed-up in the numbers.
