It might be worth puttin this as a stikkie in the help section m8 as it would be a shame to loose the link to the front page as every one does not know where to look. They go stright to the forum section when they log in from their favorites.. Like me

An alternative fitting for Garmin V

I used an alternative method to fix my Garmin V. I think you can only do this on later model machines that have an Allen Key hole on the stem nut.

Basically it's just a stainless plate bolted through the stem nut. You don't even have to unscrew the stem nut, access is gained to the stem via the bottom yoke using a long 1/4 drive socket and allen key head for the bolt.
