The aircraft with the most diverse conventional weapons load to ever fly....

And don't bother running, you'll only die tired.

Fair do's  Us mere mortals are not as familiar with Naval ships as you experts....

Many look the same, big and grey......
Pointy at one end, blunt at the other.

One of my favourites there....

A gun with a seat and two engines strapped to it :)
Brings back happy memories of a bygone age.

In the days when traffic cops had to know traffic law and we had to complete and pass a 10 week traffic law course (unlike the 1 week local procedure course they do now) we went to the regional law school at Essex and in that 10 weeks went to RAF Bentwaters and were trained and qualified to shut down the A10 in the event of an emergency or crash.

I still have the certificate.

But you are right, it is a hell of a machine.

The Gatling was demonstrated on a ground test. I pity anything that was in its path.

Looking down at the plane from high up reminded me of a time we were high up in the hills near Loch Ness 25 years ago-ish. We heard a terrific roar of a plane nearby and looked all around for it, only to then see it flying low level below us.

Sadly though, later that day, our journey back to the chalet we had rented near Perth was delayed markedly, and we had to travel back via Glasgow hundreds of miles added to the trip, because that same fighter plane had crashed and all the roads were closed.
