Now I am quite a conservative rider (no witnessess however) !!

Bought my Bird with 2250 on the clock, trading it in now with 11000 on the clock of which 7500 were on a rear tyre that I put on, for the record it was an 020

You would be suprised what is achievable with correct use or gears / throttle / brake but preferably not all at the same time.

i ride on Conti-Attack tyres front & rear, and got to agree with BLU, Birdies are not that nice ( NOT UNLESS YOU KEEP THE BEAST IN IT'S CAGE )

I'm no expert but for what it's worth I've had dunlop 207's funny wobble at the front at 70mph did 3500m
mich hpx ok but didn't inspire confidence got 3000 out of the rear and 11000 from the front
mich pilot roads quite liked these especially in the wet did 4500m
early avon azaro's :puke: v/good in the dry,wet and damp roads they were fucking lethal do a search on here for avon's crap or wot loads of posts and 50 50 split on opinion
mich pilot sport v/good tyre had 2 sets of these always felt good wet or dry warmed up quickly loads of corner grip but lost the front at rockingham at the hairpin it had just started raining only a slow speed spill cosmetic faring damage :xm
Avon Vipers fooking lol or wot these are my favourite tyre of all time loads and loads and loads of grip lol in the wet I only did 1500m on these as I then sold the bike but will prolly put these on next the only criticism I never did get them to let go with the exception of a small step out on our rsid at prestwold track in june my fault as I got too cocky with the right hand :wank: did I mention they had loads of grip loads of grip
I then had 020's o the silver bird which the prev owner had just put on prior to selling I did not like these at all a rear puncture gave me the excuse to bin them and put a set of the new type avon azaro's I loved these tyres but never got a chance to try them much in the wet in cold conditions as my off 6weeks ago put paid to any further riding on them not the tyres fault
I'm currently on an 020 rear 010 front which the previous owner had fitted I'm still not a lover of these and will prolly go for vipers or azaros as replacements

I few of you folk have ridden with me and know that I do tend towards the 'making progress' end of the scale.. Yet I can easily get 8500+ miles from a rear ST ( about 5000+ from an 020 but by then it is more like a box it is so square ! )

BTW, how's Stan's back? And are you back at work yet?
