hi peeps,
Last week I won an auction on Ebay for some parts,
admittedly I got them for a good price but I was one of three bidders and I got the winning bid, now I have sent the selller three mails requesting total amount payable, he hasn't/ won't reply to any of these.
whats the best action or should I let it lie. :dunno:

I can't force him to sell or can I?
Also not sure if it is reallly worth the hassle, I don't want to leave bad feedback, cos he'll just do the same. He has a pretty good feedback rating so I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt and wait a while, but it will be two weeks tomorrow since I won the auction.

Paddy, don't panic just yet. Sometimes the really bright people on there book a holiday which coincides with an auction end date, so you might get an email back any day saying; "sorry mate, I've been away for a few days" or summat like that :bang:

In the meantime, in 'My Ebay' there's a section on disputes. Give that a read and see what your options are.

When you were notified that you had won the auction you should have been able to see the total amount due. Try 'view payment details' or follow the prompts on the email notification 'item won'. It could be that the seller hasn't received your emails for some reason and is waiting for payment.
Also, was the seller wanting payment by cheque, paypal etc? if you do find out the amount due I would suggest you send it - if the seller has good feedback I wouldn't think there would be a problem.

Hi AJR,
The problem is that the guy is willing to post to Europe and on reciept of postal address he was to contact me with the total amount payable via paypal.
I will send him another mail today and see what happens.
I would prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt, it could just be a silly misunderstanding, or as Cruser said he could be on hols.
Paddy.

so many times

folk are away on holiday. It happens alot and I confess that I have done it too!!!!! Bloody stupid, although I did contact winners via another computer.

stupidly alot of folk don't update their email addresses so emails don't get to them. What you could do is request their contact details. They email you telephone number, but remember they also email the seller yours.

I would be a bit patient, but when the seller does reply, be polite and just explain that you were a little worried.

If they don't soon, get the contact info.

Good luck
