One I rode but sadly did not own had a ss swing arm off a VFR.

Single sided swing arms and hub centre steering are the devil's work!!! They look like they want to fall apart!

I think its a big part of why I love the Bird so much. They're as sturdy looking as brick poophouses. That and the smooth fairings. I think bikes are getting too angular, the H2 Kwak thing looks like it needs some pints and pies to chub it out a bit. It looks emaciated!!!

Took him to Kew Gardens for the Orchid Exhibition because motorbikes get free parking :D

I also learned the hard way today about how high speed motorway cruising drops your mpg right through the floor.

All depends on what "high speed motorway cruising" means to you. My best mgp has been "high speed motorway cruising" coming back from Germany. The 'birds great on the mpg if you hold the throttle steady. :-0)

Come on, I can't have been the only one who saw that and thought...8rfl@

I have a chronic inability to act normal when a camera is pointed at me! I'm usually throwing 'I'm a little teapot' shapes in a corner of a photo somewhere!

I'm loving him, he's really living up to my expectations.

That's a tenuous euphamism at best! You can do better than that, surely?

Dropped in on a pub in Croughton near Brackley on Sunday. First time I've ridden him in anything approaching nice, warm & dry conditions and I've decided that the Pirelli's he came with aren't completely horrible. I can't see myself buying another set, but I don't hate them enough to toss off perfectly useable rubber.

Good to see your out and about and enjoying it still. Love the avons on mine. I'm sure someone posted a picture of that pub the other day?

I'm a big fan of avons and they'll be going on after these!

I'm only enjoying him more and more as the weather gets nicer, and I just clocked that post about The Blackbird pub :D great minds.

Just read through the posts on this thread

I must ask ...... The pic of you on the star disc ....
You don't look tall enough to get your leg over (euphamism alert) the screen almost reaches to the top of your arm..... A really tall screen?

If you are down Kew again . pop in for a cuppa .... I'm not too far away @tu*

I didn't miss either but thought I'd let someone else stick their head above the parapet.

I went up to visit another female biker in Cheshire on saturday. We went out to the raven on sunday morning, tagged along on a ride to the ponderosa, Bala and Barmouth. One of the young lads had just stepped up to a 300cc bike and wanted to go out to play on it. Accidentally ending up at the seaside is great!

Couldn't fault Bob if I tried. 315km out of the second tank of fuel before the light came on.
