Well i've gone and done it. Picked her up thursday from manchester P/97 Candy Red 11900klms except for a few stone chips on the front mudguard in great condition. So the learning begins, Tyres. its got a Bridgestone on the rear & a Michelin front, having a trawl through here it seems the Avon 45/46 are about right for me ?. use the bike all year so need decent grip in wet/damp conditions and fair mileage. Will be at the NEC tuesday so can find out more at the avon stand. Thats it for now, hopefully joining in the banter g0551p and meeting up sometime.

Lol

You've got it about right with tyres. If you do a search there is a plethora of posts about tyres.

Favourite choice for most are the Avons you mention and the B 020's given that you want fair mileage. For more grip - but less miles - choose the Avon Vipers. Bird specific of course.

That's a brief summary of course, but fair.
