Welcome on board @tu*
She is looking REALLY nice ! @tu*@tu*
A word of advice..
Get your self a new set of downpipes ( anything BUT what you have on at the moment ) and then book it in to a rolling road place.
the only way to get a Bird to perform even close to what it should do with those ones you have fitted is to REALLY mess with the jetting.. And then, with luck and care ( but at the expense of extra fuel usually ) you might get it close to what it should be..
It is a massive shame as the quality is always good and the stuff they make for other bikes is great.. But there has been an on going issue with them on Birds for a very long time
Thanks for the tip. I'm lookking back through the receipts and it seesm the cans and link pipes are the SS, so I'm hoping the headers are Honda.
I've done around 200miles on the bike so far this week and it seems to go well for a 18 year old, but it's not as quick as my 160bhp Fireblade @tu*
The BIRD is nice, all good and then at 130 it seems to come alive, although I've not had enough opportunity to properly test it through the gearbox yet.
I'm not a huge fan of 4-2-2's so I might have a look around for a 4-1, a Dyno jet/ Factory pro needle kit and ignition advancer and then get it set up on a rolling road.
There's a few people have fitted them on another bird site who say they are good.
I quite like the repsol design, but why have brembo adverts on a bike with nissin brakes, etc?
how well do they farings fit then??or isit a sapry job???I been looking at them cheap chinkey faring kits but I know sum r hit n miss on the fitment side....vistor message sent re full akra
