When you say heavy cotton, how heavy? If it's classed as upholstery fabric it will do seat covers, but may be a bit heavy for curtains, if curtain fabric, maybe a bit light for seats.

Having said all this, I once bought a bolt of cutain fabric and made curtains from it, then covered all the chairs in my restaurant with it as well. It did wear through after about a year, but then again, it saw a fair amount of use in that time and I did fix it to the chairs with staples as it was a rush job.

Hope this helps.:k

Asmoose me, Bert, but thing's that's obvious to us girlies :neenaw: isn't always so obvious to the blokies out there.

Wolfie, honey, if they say it's curtain/upholstery fabric, it can be used for either or both purposes with impunity.

Ah, not from a fabric shop then?

Without a feel (hang on, let me finish before the innuendos fly) of the cloth, can't be of much more help.

If it feels like the curtains in your local greasy spoon (thin & limp), walk away from it. However, if it feels thick and crisp, it will probably do both jobs.

Over to you Bert..........
