BMW driver was obviously rushing to the dealer to get them to turn it off with the diagnostic machine.

I wonder if there was any aggressive use of the horn involved.

I made an error of judgement in Tesco car park last week and was nearly run into by a BMW suv I forgot the golden rule that even though you are on the main thoroughfare if a BMW pulls out in front of you, they have the right of way I can only apologise to the BMW driver for my error

Severely tempted to invest in some wrap around bull bars and then weld some spikes on the front and sides.

This is one of my pet hates.

Unfortunately it is not just BMW drivers that are guilty of cutting the corner. 95% of all drivers do it regardless of make and model that they drive, and I love holding them and their insurers liable when they try to defend a claim made against them when they claim that they (the turning driver did nothing wrong )

It is an unfortunate fact of life that many motorcyclists are also guilty of this.

The biggest problem though (apart from drivers being lazy and dangerous) is that most coppers of the current generation have no dea that an offence has been committed, or if they do, they are too bone idle to report the driver.

This is where central traffic islands help because it prevents much of this, but the council are not prepared to spend the money even though it will save them millions in the long term.

A school friend/next door neighbour got killed aged 17 on his Norton Commando in exactly these circumstances.

Why do so many find it so hard to get the basics right?

I know. I can dream though.... That and the return of capital punishment, sentences that fit the crime and the adoption of theAmerican system of "three strikes and you're out".

I had a tart cut the corner on me when I was driving a butchers wagon for the co-op in Sheffield, she seemed to think her 1600 laser Capri had right of way, she didn't half get the hump when the side of the car from her door to the back bumper was peeled off and deposited on the deck to my right, first the husband turned up shouting the odds, then plod, yours truly gets the nod from plod and carried on with my day!!
