AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

I will forget you said that................I do have some pride!!!!!!!!!

Only joking.

Yes, I would love to be able to go out and choose a bike, but finances are my main problem. There is no way I can get a bike with the money that I have. I am probably going to get about ?800 for my NTV, Derek wants around ?1400 for the cbr. Its in excellent mechanical order. He also doesn't mind getting paid in dribs and drabs.

The CBR is fine. I just need to modify myself!!!!!!! We are going to assess the problems when my ankle is better, and see what we can do. If it means a smaller side stand then that will be done.

Lets face it if we all bought bikes that we could pick up on our own or save when they tipped over, I will bet that many of you Bird riders wouldn't be on Birds???????

Virago..........................?????????????????? If I was going to go the custom way............it would have to be a Hardly :-:

Just a thought

A friend of mine had a very similar problem with a brand new CBR600, she is a bit of a short arse and so had the bike lowered by the dealer only problem was they did not shorten the side stand :bang: c7u8 so the first time her husband (a very experienced rider and a BB owner) came to move it he dropped it to the right  :xm as he sung his leg over due to the bike being very upright. Could your bike be lowered and therefore sit too vertical on the side stand Just a thought

You said it Alison! I dropped the bird once - the kick stand was not engaged fully as I started t move the bike a little forward in a motorcycle bay, was standing on the right hand side of the bike, wanted to rest her, and tipped here in slow motion... I had to bring her back vertical with limited space on the left hand side, so couldn't do the 'lift her with your back' trick... that was a rather embarrassing moment - I managed but yes, she is a handful, and I'm not puny

If the option is giving up riding or buying a Hardly, the obvious choice is giving up riding.

might be right there!!!!!!!

No I think the CBR is the right height, could be wrong though. Derek would know.

I am not that short at 5'6", short legs though :xm

Derek has dropped the bird a couple of times, mostly with luggage on so saved it from any serious damage, but he struggles to get it upright and he is very strong.
