Thanks, it's a wait and see job for a while then.

Don't think it's too long they have to appeal.

I was surprised that there actually companies who specialise in taking on appeals on behalf of businesses. I guess that's probably when either very large amounts are involved or very large numbers of individuals.

You mentioned you still have the exhausts.
Once the dust settles if it were me I'd let him know they're ready for him to arrange collection.
Let him arrange and pay for the return.
You've already done it once at your expense.

Visa initially turned down my claim because there was a mention of compromise in the E mail exchange, but I appealed their letter, pointed out they had admitted they sent me the wrong parts, and quoted the consumer rights act to them. They have now reimbursed my card with the full amount. I still have the exhausts, the monies appears on my card as 'dispute'. Do Visa claim it back off the merchant or do they just stand the loss as part of the Visa agreement.
All questions your credit card company will answer.

I'll do that once the dispute is finally finished, at least then I've given him the choice to collect if he wants them. They are still boxed up and it's now been 6 weeks since I received them. If not I'll purchase a set of hangars that fit off E bay, they should hide the marks on the exhausts.

Seems daft to me that he didn't think of offering that as a possible solution early doors.

An apology and an offer of something off and let you replace the hangers could have left everyone a happy bunny.

Once it's resolved I'll be leaving an appropriate review for them.

Quick update, 30 days is now up, the merchant hasn't raised any challenges, just spoke to Visa, they said that's it, if you still have the goods, (I do), it's up to you what you do with them. So it would appear a result in my favour.

Well done, it does take perseverance to work through but good that it finally got resolved in your favour.

Well. Just left a review on their face book page, nothing defamatory, just the facts as I experienced them. The managing director has replied calling me incompetent and a liar. Customer relations at it's very best. I'll have incompetent, but I've told him to either retract the Liar bit or prove where I've lied. Tumbleweed at the moment.

I'm not a facebook person, but can they remove the post where he has called you a liar?
Might be worth a screen shot just in case.

Sticks and stones, I've left an honest review of my experience and had a full refund, plus I still have the exhausts. If he can't handle the truth that's his problem.
