Funnily enough, there was lots of noise about wanting a northern EOSB, and that was all. Talk. No-one offered to run one or find a venue.

So a southerner (Smix) made the effort and found somewhere northern(ish) but due to an accident couldn't make it. A large number of other proposed attendees also cancelled at the last minute for a variety of reasons (including me, I'm afraid), leaving the EOSB very poorly attended. But a big up to those that did make it.

I do feel compelled to point out that the reserve EOSB on 15th September did go well, with a decent number turning up at one point or another. Shame the rest were against going as it was in the Cotswolds, not up north.

So what happened to all those northerners who wanted a northern EOSB then?

Amazingly, the southern, western and eastern events this year have all been fairly well attended despite freezing nights at the SOSB and torrential rain at the Bash. And well attended by the northern contingent at that.

Now, what does this tell us?

Buggered if I know.:dunno:

I would love to organise a Northern bash, but the problem is I work shifts & I cannot guarantee when I will get time off, we put in for annual leave & 99% of the time we don't find out until a week or so before whether or not we've got it, mostly leave is knocked back anyway.
There is no way I am going to organise something if I can't attend it, but if you can wait I retire in five years time so I will have plenty of time to organise something

As a follow on from the ped racing at the bash, you could have ritual de-capitation and with your skills film it with your web cam.

Cool, sounds like fun, so if all the Mudlanders could form an orderly queue we can begin.

Errr, sorry, but I don't like group rideouts. 4 bikes max for me to do a rideout. However, I do like the meets and the banter and have been known to go off and do my own thing whilst the big rideouts are happening.

Still, each to their own
