Energy company recommendations

Having just read the bullshit excuses put out by Octopus Energy's CEO as to why they pulled their ads from GB News, I'm now looking to swap providers as I can't stomach giving money to a company that admits that it makes decisions based on what StopFundingHate tell them and who also admit to giving money (£108,000 so far) to the BLM.

Anyone got any good recommendations...?

Avoid Utility Point

I've asked them to refund the almost £500 credit I've got and they tell me it'll take them 60 days as they're snowed under with refund requests.
I did point out that it didn't take them very long to increase my debit so why not decrease it the same way.
Reply: That's fine if you want we can decrease the debit straight away instead of the refund!!! grrrr
Me: No - gimme the money!

Coincidently 60 days is the time ofcom give power companies to look into and resolve disputes with customers.

Conversely, I'm with Utility point and have had good service and sensible direct debit changes. I don't care whether the company has any sort of social conscience or hugs polar bears, I just take the cheapest option, leaves more money for beer.

Funny you should say that....I did some comparisons and Octopus are the cheapest for us.

Unfortunately I view putting money into a company that gives to the BLM much like putting cash into a "Support the IRA" collection tin and taking advice from StopFundingHate is about as sensible as asking Hitler what to buy your Jewish friend for Hannukkah.

So change we will.....

18 months ago I switched to Bulb.
So far I do not regret it

If anyone wants to switch and would let me be your recommender ( so to speak ) they give me £50 of which I would split it 50/50 with you

Although clearly John would promote the most useless electricity supplier to earn a few quid :sisi1 I have been using bulb recently and they have been ok.

Sadly my experience is that they are all fine until something goes wrong at which point they become totally, 100% absolutely useless.

On a shockingly sensible note...

Utility point were fine while it was just about paying the money and using the gas/leccy.

The credit built up 'cos on the summary front page it always said balance £0.00.
I dug deeper into the last statement and found the credit.
They've now updated the summary so it shows the credit balance.

I've since looked them up in more detail and they score low on customer service.
