Financial laws in US incorporated sections directly targeting blacks.

When 30 year mortgages were introduced clause in deeds prevented black people buying house if sold on.

After slavery was banned there was an economical impact on "industry".
So laws were brought in to criminalise them.
They could be arrested for walking on the wrong side of the street, talking to loud!!!!

This provided a large jail population of free labour where blacks were provided to local business people.

Many laws existed until 1960s

Today:
Net worth white $170,000
Net worth black $17,000

Property ownership same as 1970s
They are lowest % of all ethnic groups of property ownership.

Well - I was talking to the local shopkeeper and as an offshoot from N.I. photorally points he told me about his visit there a while back.
It's a long story but I'll shorten it.

He took his caravan to N.I. He arrived at a park and the owner made a big issue because he hadn't booked on the net even though the place was half empty.
Eventually he got a pitch.

Next day they went on a tour in Belfast. During the tour the guy phoned him to get him to move the caravan. He broke off the tour but when he got to the gate he had difficulty getting in even though he was expected. "Oh I didn't see you were there"
I think there were cameras on the gate.
He moved the caravan and went back to his family.

That evening he was in the caravan and there was a new guy on duty. He came to him and said he had to move the caravan. He wanted him to put it in the first pitch, remember now the park had lots of empty pitches.

I don't know what the final resolution was but he felt it was all because he was from the South.

What hope is there of settlement.

Historically and up to the present date the levels of systematic cultural racism and the methods by which it was and still is perpetrated in the US is no comparison to the levels of racism which have been and still are found in Britain.

If racism was a sport then the US would be Olympic gold medalists while we'd be still competing at the annual school sports day.

Remember, the US is the country that made lynching black people a social event for all the family.

I am not disagreeing about the issues in USA.

A big part of the problem in Britain is that so many don’t think there is a problem. Until that changes it’s not going to improve.

Whenever the subject of the British Empire is raised you virtually never have anything positive to say about it.

Surely the British Empire was built on values of subjugation, slavery and racism? I will discriminate against those who enter our society and attempt to alter it in violent ways in an attempt to create a version of the dung heap they came from. Come here, assimilate and help to create a better version of what we were and I’ll welcome all.

It seems to be history.
I thought we were the only victims of rulers (foreign) but I did learn eventually that persecution is a common thread in history if not a norm.
And it seems UK internal history had that with Henry and Cromwell, that I know of.

And some of the executions were barbaric.
