well in spite of the weather and the loss of Bubba at the last moment, five brave souls (ok five daft sods if you prefer :rolleyes: !!) actually got together at Grafham Water earlier today.

They were, L to R at the back, Steve, Dave, and at the front, Richard and Nick, with me behind the camera,.

Did the pie and pint thing at The Wheatsheaf in Perry, which is a good Sunday lunch meeting point for the summer, however you must remeber to pay your bill before ya leave, otherwise the VERY BIG Piranha fish get an early tea.

Bloody cold on the way home, but hey it is February after all. :}

Roll on the summer ..............

If anyone can do maths, can they add up the mileages please, mine was a paltry 88 miles round trip.

regards

Mike

:} Hey you guys;

Glad you all got home OK. Hope you didn't get too wet Nick and Richard. I had to de-gunge the bird before I put it to bed. It was good to get out though even with the weather being cold and wet. It is Febuary mind you. Steve. :beer:

Nice one

Hi to the brave soldiers who braved the elements to get to Grafham and big fingers to the slackers (no names mentioned DOC ? lazy git, it was only 20 mins down the road for him, maybe he should join the SP?s). Nice to see Kylie has lost some weight, she is looking a lot sexier, well done for the picies mike, what happened to the portrait of fat bert in the background ? think you know what I am getting at.

Can anyone recommend the use of a jet wash thingy as I might buy one as I canny be arsed to keep washing the dam thing in this fookin cold weather. Also I am hoping it will be quicker to do, any recommendations to size/power of the wash thingy will be greatly received.

Lets start thinking aboot the next meet and prey for dryer roads next time ? glad it wasn?t sunny honey?..brrrrrrrr

Nick.

I have a small pressure washer made by KEW which I got for Christmas a few years back. A brilliant bit of kit. I'll try and get the model number for you. I don't think it was an expensive one but has been used for all manor of jobs from washing cars to cleaning the patio. The only problem for me is that I have to run a hose and electrical extension from the kitchen through the house ("too lazy to get the thing out really"). If you get one don't use full pressure directly onto the rad. Someone I know, did just that to his ZZR1100. It cost him a fortune for a new rad. Steve.R#?

good looking AND modest
regarding pressure washerd

other parts to avoid when using a jet wash are the wheel bearings, directly on to the dash and if youve 'mini after market' indicators on, them, as they rust inside if shown water, regardless of which way the little drain hole is,
i know these things :bang: :bang:

take it easy on the graphics or any warning labels also.
hope thats been of some help, im sure others will be able to point out any other pros and cons ive missed.:bow:

nice one

Thanks for the advice steve and ianrobbo1, does it work on the rear wheel too as far as getting chain lube off? What about cleaning the swing arm and rear shock spring ect?
Thanks again.

Wolfie

Is a lunp
wonder wheels or meths for swinging arm and wheel, pressure washer for spring.

Unless you want to stand there with full blast destroying everything else around it.

i only use the washer for removing large amount of crud, then back to the microfibre cloth etc.

Bert is there, just between Steve and Dave, but I'm having PC trouble, so getting a better view is proving difficult at the mo', rest assured if it can be made to appear, ...... it will :}

:yo: XXScraper..

I clean the muck off of my rear wheel with WD40. Does it a treat. After I have washed the bike I also spray all around the rear shock and under the bike with WD40. The smoke is impressive when you start up. Steve. :beer:

PS Don't get too much on your brake disc though. It really increases the stopping distance.

Hope to have mine back on the road come spring so it now begs the question, when shall we meet again, where shall we meet and will it be worth it??
