They say every dog has his day!

If you all remember I rang P & O for their policy on this but as I was the only one travelling by sea my worries and whoe's were scoffingly cast aside

I was even advised to use the Steam Packet Company as they did strap down bikes!
Norfolk lines was another megga helpful suggestion:rolleyes:

Seriously Wuz re read my teleconversation with P & O.

Invested in some Oxford straps and handlebar thingys just in case
even if they have the ratchet straps, the handlebar thingys are very soft and worth taking/using and take up little roombl4hbl4h

Last time John H went with P&O the bike 'section' had a housing that the front wheel slotted into.. while siting on your bike they then had special straps that fitted on your rear pegs which they tightened up, you then got off your bike and the rear shock tensioned the straps further. No stand required. I assume you leave the bike in gear which is someting I would do as I would if parking on sloping ground anyway. Regardless there will be straps to lash over the seat... ala steam packet to the IOM. End result is if I'm not happy with the method... I ain't leaving the bike. b0x1
