Fixed one of me saucepans with stainless screws and nuts instead of aluminium rivets ( they tend to disintegrate in the dishwasher).

Got my Covid test results. Negative... which doesn't explain why I've felt shit and can barely taste anything.

Still, at least it ain't the 'Vid.

There is a strain of flu doing the rounds that seems to mirror some symptoms of covid (I know cos I had it) it is shit & the cough lingers

Don't have a cough, but otherwise it certainly feels flu like.

We have both had a slight cough and congestion for a couple of months now, more an irritation than an illness.
The wife's been bunged up (ooooeeerrr) with catarrh for about a month now. Not something that she normally suffers from.

Your floor is uneven, the brickwork isn't straight and your damp course needs renewing.

Give her one (geg geg geg) of these:

The surgeon that fixedly sinuses in Singapore gave me one of these post op. I still have a few minor problems because of my allergies but I couldn't live without this sinus rinse now.

If it doesn't clear her out, I'll give you your money back. Straight up, no shit.

This is something I could be interested in, as I always feel like the passage ways are bunged up.
Looking at the picturs on the box, just how much self control do you have to have to get the stuff to where you need it, to clear out the nasal cavities?

It's easy. It's a bit strange at first but you'll find your way and make it work. This is what works for me:
Boil kettle, pour water into a mug and allow to cool to room temp.
Pour water into bottle and add sachet of saline.
Finger over hole in nose cap and give it a little shake to ensure it's proper mixed (not really necessary as it mixes very well, but I like to be sure).
Lean over sink, place nose cap in nostril and squirt. KEEP YOUR MOUTH OPEN (sorry, but that is of paramount importance), allow water to drain out of other barrel. Give it a little blow and repeat other side. That's the basic method, works well for hay fever sufferers to wash the pollen out of your hooter.
What I do (surgeon's advice) is snort the water up as you squirt (i.e. suck the water up with your nose like your snorting coke) and that gets it right up into your upper sinus chambers. Then, block one barrel with your finger and blow out of the other; it works best when snorting up one barrel and blowing out of the other). What comes out will amaze and nauseate you at the same time.
Repeat on opposite side.
Another tip he gave me, after snorting the saline up hold the water up there, pinch your nostrils and bend right over with your head on your knees and gently shake your head around. This ensures saline gets a good swash around your head and upper chambers. Lean back over sink, and blow as above.
On completion, just bend over your toilet and tilt your head from side to side to allow the residual water to drain. I say toilet because it needs to be something low; your sink will be too high and you won't be able to bend far enough over (unless you stand on a box).
Do not, ever, under any circumstances, be tempted to do this with just water. I forgot my sachet of saline once and inadvertently made the mistake. It burns like fuck! So don't.

That is very lazy.
You should send the tossers that pic and
ask if it would be acceptable on their own feckin house.
I can 100% guarantee I wouldn't have put up with it, it was like that when we moved in. The picture doesn't even show the worst bits!!

All neartly run through the attic now....must admit I was quite relieved the internet and phone were working when I reconnected the cable after cutting it:)

And pleased to get both jobs done in about four hours...I thought it would take most of the weekend.

S'pose I'll have to lay on the sofa and plough through a few episodes of the excellent Deadwood now.
