Oh I forgot to mention, I went out last night for a ride to a local bike night. Quite a few attendees and while there was a large number of newish modern bikes to be expected, there were a few old bikes, including this excellent build. It looked fresh enough to be a lockdown build perhaps. Interesting all the same as I’ve never before seen an AJS motor in a BSA frame. I’m not sure if the chopper seat aids the build, or if it needed a stock seat. It looked extremely well out together and I was suitably impressed. View attachment 49562View attachment 49563

Hope you got yer shopping on the way home.

If I could without getting nicked I would as someone needs to sort the infestation of feral pigeons in this town, closely followed by the retards that feed them :(
I think you've got the order of culling the wrong way round. :camper:

Same with seagulls down here, both species labelled locally as “sky rats”.

AJ in a beezer.. what an odd combo !
Not as odd as one I saw in Yarmouth a few years ago... A Norton lump in a triumph frame !!! Talk about obscure.. maybe the builder has a fetsh or something..
It is kind of a spoonerism in mechanics !

Just stuck a yam XS650 motor in a (modern) AJS125

Previously I have put a 600 bandit in a XJ550, a GSXR1100 or bandit 12 in a 600f, a GS750, a Z750 & a bunch of others they were never designed to fit XL500 in a TZR125 is one I fancy a go at :D

Having given up on yet another unreliable contractor I took Mrs B out for the morning to let her help me weed the common area one of our sites. All was going well, we had almost finished and I was just about to get the chap we use for rubbish disposal to give me a quote to take it all away when I thought 'hmmmm, I reckon I could just about get that lot in the car and take it to the dump which is only two minutes away and save myself over £100'. So I loaded the car up, couldn't quite get it all in so Mrs B said 'you get rid of that lot, I'll finish up here and we can take the rest to the dump on the way home'.

Great plan.(y)

Until I got to the dump, joined the queue and was told by the nice chap that the wait was over an hour. At this point there was no turning round, completely boxed in. I though I should phone Mrs B and break the news.....to discover her phone was in her handbag in the front footwell.

By the time I eventually got back to site it was pissing down...she wasn't overly happy.

Not a bad result though, saved myself about £400 overall.

Best spend some of that to make up for leaving your other half out in the rain.

Bev woke up vomiting, bad case of vertigo so to give her some peace & quiet I went to daughter’s & helped Grandkids with their home schooling.
Fed horses.
Had my tea early then went upstairs to watch Leeds hammer Stoke 5-0.

Did some work on a commission build that's been hanging around far too long, quite pleased with the result & am hoping the fella likes it too :)

Had my golf lesson interrupted twice by the two Spitfires that honoured Dame Vera at her funeral.

One of the few things thing that sound better than a Merlin going at full chat in a low fly by is two Merlins going at full chat in a low fly by.

Got home and fell asleep on sofa after cutting the grass.
