Dentist :( :(

Beaker, my dentist did that and now I can only see them as a private patient.

They cancelled my appointment shortly before covid struck.

Then they closed due to covid.

Then they opened again but only for emergencies.

Then they started up accepting other than emergencies - but not routine check ups - only "urgent" stuff.

All through this I kept getting email updates/info from them. Previously if I was due a check up & hadn't booked they'd text & email reminder & I'd immediately book.

Then I got awful toothache just over a month ago so rang them.

Told I'm no longer on their list as it's been more than 24 months since I'd last seen them.

Now Im a private patient!

Complained to NHS who replied saying they could do that as I'd not seen them.
Apparently being closed and restricting patient access doesn't stop them counting that time :(

When I did visit I heard others having the same conversation. I suspect its their way of boosting earnings.

Last week Bev was waiting for a parcel, at around 6:30 I got a text message “your parcel has been delivered” went to the door…nothing, opened the door & it was on the doorstep, lazy bastard never even knocked.
DPD is the usual courier calling and they are good. Usually give an hour for delivery and will arrive during the hour.

And I have just received a text saying “your parcel will be delivered between 18.00 and 20.00’.

Which is interesting because as far as I’m aware I’m not having a parcel delivered but I am having one collected.

so pleased as I got up early for them.

And the dentist has just called to cancel my first appointment for 30 months that was due later today.

Woke up at 3am and had an early breakfast as playing golf at 7am.

went back to sleep, woke up on alarm at 6am

got dressed, prepared drink and banana to take with me, ablutions.

Decided to look at weather forecast which said 80%+ chance of rain

looked out the window and it was chucking it down

phoned playing partner to cancel

got undressed

went back to bed.

can’t help thinking I should have looked out the window first.

Finished my second night shift.

Interesting busy shift. Man Utd returning plus I helped out with a Fat Albert and two Wokkas.

:)

I'm pretty sure one or two will know what I'm talking about
