It's fuel flow shut down.

Jet engines are controlled via fuel flow.

The engineers managed to shut one down but it took a while to stop the fuel flowing to the other.

Sticky valve :)

The aircraft had been on a "proving flight" having not been used for some time.

There'll be quite a few issues like this as things start flying again.

Remember watching an Air Crash Investigation when one of the jet engines ran for hours after the plane crashed Despite pumping water and foam into it. Why they didn’t just shove a stick in it is beyond me.

Yep, saw that one.

They obviously didn't put the long term storage covers on. Should have covers front/back of engines, pitot heads, wheels to protect from sunlight and all "orifices" covered.

It's common for birds, insects etc to make a home in an aircraft not in regular use.

There was an Air Crash Investigation programme that looked at a case where an insect had settled in a pitot tube that sadly led to the aircraft coming down.

Last week we had a B737-Max (remember them!) return on a full emergency with multiple problems. Reporting Hydraulic control problems, heavy controls, fuel imbalance.

All ended well although the passengers probably were a little nervous.

All due to just that........

CAA have since put out a warning reminder!

Learned that we have mackerel in spicy tomato sauce on slightly burned toast for lunch.

Awesome.

Woke up in the early hours freezing cold so got myself sorted then went to hide in the shed early for a productive few hours putting a working edge on a modern Kukri, it now chops wood with ease (y)

Once the rest of the household was up, about and sorted we took the little one to the park for the arranged fun and games they have on during school holidays but I think I peaked early as had to come home and inspect the inside of my eyelids for leaks, now piddling about on here trying to avoid buying more stuff I don't really need, that isn't going very well

Collected new front mudguard from dealer for the bird, it had to be shipped from Japan.

While there I noticed a fair few "sold" bikes and spaces in the showroom.

Apparently it's proving very difficult to get new stock delivered I to UK.

Dreadful night of sleep, up for golf at 6am, played woefully, really woefully, knackered, got patterns in front of my eyes on the 14th, walked in, went home, food then straight to bed, woken up feeling awful with half a migraine. Hope it sorts itself out for tomorrow as grandkids coming.

About £170 squids.

It's beginning to seem like some parts are being made to order where they still have the original tooling.

I think that's why silencers are around £800 each and the main loom £750

If they've got the tooling it can be made to order but at a big cost.
No tooling and you're out of luck.

For example the seat cowl is not available any longer.
