Fitted a pressure relief valve to cure hammering in the water system that has started in recent months which turned out, much to my surprise, to be the result of high pressure and not low pressure.

Had a bit of trouble sealing the plastic gauge to the brass body, bet the gauge used to be made out of brass until someone decided to save a few quiz on manufacturing costs. Shame on you Honeywell.

For the sake of clarity, I am not and have never claimed to be a plumber.;)
I did tell you the pressure was too high

You did indeed Derek.(y)

There are huge variances in ‘recommended pressure range’ on the inter webs, according to many I was well within tolerance, others not.

What threw me is the dishwasher and washing machine both failing to start during the night with ‘low water pressure’ indicated on both. It appears the opposite was in fact the cause.

Informs me that it is losing charge on the battery?
Bring it round to the workshop i said..lets have a look.
Bugger me!
Rear number plate smashed in three pieces.
front brake lever, brake light don't work.
oil leak on sump plug.
Clutch lever pressure none existent.
Left hand mirror missing.
Back brake binding.
Side stand switch faulty.

Repaired number plate..glued a piece of 'hygenic wall cladding' on the back of the plate and bolted back.
Adjusted clutch line at both ends..cable had stretched.
Cleaned off the crud from the plunger and lubed.
Adjusted rear brake pedal.
Contact cleaner on brake lever microswitch and light now intermittent?
Checked fuses? and breakages in loom.
He then informs me he had a play with the wiring under the seat, cause it had frayed.
Seat off again, untaped what he had tampered with, had a snigger to myself.
Went home for my motorcycle fettling toolbox.
Extended wiring for lights and brake lights, it was very short of length in there.
Re-crimped and heat shrinked wiring. Light still intermittent, but better than it was..Suspect front lever microswitch knackered?
Left mirror, did'nt have one in my back pocket, forgot to tell him about slight weeping on oil sump plug.
Had a blip up and down rear of hospital. Works as it should, he's a happy bunny...No charge.
Hope it starts when he fishes his shift at 20-00Hrs?
If he buys a car later? He can feck off.

One of the local lads from the ZZR forum dropped his bike off today, 4 years old and 4K miles only. Dropped the oil and filter for him, then fitted a set of titanium front wheel spacers and covers, lubed the rear suspension linkages. That helped pass a couple of hours and saved him dropping it off at the stealers.
