Cancelled golf as the forecast was awful, glorious morning so far:rolleyes:

In view of above Mrs B said I could take her shopping in Eastbourne 'can we go early though'

Got up, shaved and showered by eight to facilitate.

She then told me that we couldn't go as she had to take her mum for her flu jab.

I am now considering a dirty protest.

Put an extra shelf for shoes in the cloak room. Put a couple in a while back and topped with with the same grey rustic oak laminate on the floor, looks rather smart. Mrs B insisted we had enough laminate left over in the garage for another shelf...what she didn't realise is that the bits left have been trimmed lengthwise so basically no good for big areas.

So I nipped down to the local b&q to get some more to find it closed due to a power cut. Nearest open shop nine miles away, took me an hour and a quarter to get there in torrential, rain and heavy traffic. Had,row with the daft b&q employee who was running the queuing system as they decided to close a till and expected me to go to the back of the queue again. Bus pulled out in front of me on the way back causing me to jump on the brakes, stuck behind him doing a maximum of 38 on a 60 road, down to 17 going up hills. for seven miles before he turned off.

Got back, ploughed on with the job, went to cut the £14 piece of timber moulding from b&q to finish the job to find it had a ruddy great split in it.

Managed to get round that, painted the framework just needed to glue the laminate and moulding in place....and the effing mastic gun is round at my mother in law's.....

What should have taken a couple of hours tops has taken about five hours..and it still isn't finished.

Arse.
