Chilled out for a few hours of quality music on YouTube,....Stevie Nicks, Hall and Oates, Joe Jackson, The Temptations, Faces, Bananarama, Tina Turner.

Not a drum machine in sight.

    Other than Joe Jackson.

checked my WhatsApp group for work and all those on furlough are back from 1st November, great I thought I can casually mention to my boss if I can have my Saturday back. Got to work and his car wasn't there, anyway a few minutes later I came out of the canteen to go to the shop floor and he was in the office. And it was a case of me saying hello boss can I have my Saturday back and reduce my hours, very casual not. him ok no problem.

Later a colleague was going on about someone he didn't like.

me.. why don't you just say what you think about him

    colleague.. I always do

me ok what do you think of me

    colleague.. you're just old

Swapped the extractor fans that serve the bathroom and ensuite over to see if I can track down the intermittent problem by elimination.

Bearing in the one that has been problematical seemed silky smooth, pulled the multiplug apart and gave that and the pcb and a good dose of contact cleaner.

Eye test at Specsavers, all went well, I don't need new glasses, but if I want to update them I can at a cost, don't think so.

Putting a couple of concrete spurs in to repair rotted fence posts for one of the local wrinklies.

The deal was that her grandson would dig the holes out - I showed him what was needed and where to dig, I even marked it with paint - and I would order the materials and install the posts as he didn't know how to do it.

Went to do the job today and discovered that 'one foot Square and two feet deep' in reality means six inches of topsoil scraped off.

I didn't find it hard to dig the holes out to the specified depth, I must be almost twice the grandsons age.

    Twat.

    Gardening

managed to fill my garden waste wheely bin, was wandering were to put the excess when a neighbour stopped for a chat, I told him about my bin and he said he could fix that, came into my garden social distanceing climbed into the bin jumped up and down, created some more room, I'm sure there must be some health and safety issues there,

The problem comes when the bin men come & the waste is so tightly compacted it doesn’t come out.

Woke up after having a dream about a 747 landing perfectly unscathed upside down behind my old house.

What was odd is that I had my first Blackbird and it wouldn't switch off even when the key was taken out. Clutch wouldn't disengage either.

The army arrived and said they would have to knock the house down to,access the site which was fair enough and we had ten minutes to get anything we wanted out.

One of my ex-players was in my ear during all of this bleating on about us not having a goalkeeper for next Sunday's game.

Not the best start to the day.
