    Sort of communal diary..
Today I did the first grass cut.. Cut it down to about 3" as it is the first of the season..
Gonna give it a few days and then give a proper crew cut

Read a judgement and the subsequent appeal on a grounding off Xiamen about nine years ago. And not much else. Couldn’t even be arsed to train this morning.

Been trying a bit of cold casting & made a mess of it due to the mold not being good enough, I knew this was the case but thought I might get away with it

After that small failure I started making table legs to top with a slice of larch I have kicking around, this will have aluminium, a bullet & some used casings cast into it at some point, just need to source a belt sander & some plastic, laminate or melamine to cast onto.

Serious point there about 'not being arsed'. We haven't been arsed to eat as well as we normally do over the last couple of weeks, lots of 'comfort' stuff like buns and chocolate. We never, ever buy chocolate but treat ourselves to a bun once a week normally. Over the weekend I really fancied some bacon frazzles so I picked up a couple of massive bags while shopping. Much to both our disgusts we sat and ate the whole lot last night, totally out of character.

We have also been drinking more - we rarely touch spirits but have got in the habit of having a scotch or Brandy or two late afternoon. No idea how that one crept in, but it is creeping out in disgracenasnwell.

I put on two pounds last week and I fully expect the same this week.

Determined to get back to normal now, it seems so easy to think 'does it really matter'.

So -easy to let things slip - I want to be in great shape when we come through this. And we will.

Don't tell @Pow-Lo ...I even dusted down the weights this afternoon and will start using them again in the morning.

If I can be arsed, that is....:p

Got up, fed the cat, had some breakfast (two boiled eggs and a slice of toast with a cuppa) now going back to bed as I feel knackered.

I was going to make a chimney cowl for the extractor in the kitchen but that can wait until tomorrow

    Or the day after.

    I woke up ( always a good start )
Finished a shock rebuild, had a smoke and a cuppa, now got to book the return of the shock and ( this will be exciting ) take it to the collection point which is nearly 1/2 mile away !
It will be the first time I have been out apart from dog walking duties since we got home

Getting the model of a Volvo British Touring car out the loft....only had it 20 odd years so it's time to build it ... although it's probably worth more in the plastic wrappers still

Got up, Granola breakfast with freshly ground coffee, filled up the bird feeders, started work.

Have had 2 conference calls, one chat to my manager about my redundancy being put back to 24 December 2020 and have just eaten a Tunnock's dark chocolate Caramel bar, made myself a Flat White (again using freshly ground coffee).

Currently tapping away on my keyboard & about to click on the 'Post Reply' button.

Going back to bed for three hours additional sleep was a bad idea - I feel more knackered now than I did before.

Just about to have a shower...will take the long route to fill some time.
