Last summer, came down Alpe-D'Huez in France and my brakes started failing due to the brake fluid boiling.
I stopped the bike, bend down to operate the back brake by hand (still don't know why?) bend down a bit further and...

burnt my forehead really bad !

Sprinted to a fountain nearby and stood there for about 15 min with my head under it.

Never done that again.

And I just remembered the maker of the heater.. It was a Valor oil fired convector heater..
Anyone else remember those things ?

You mean the old Parafin type heater? with a round wick, and a wick trimmer that was stored in the front (Usually lift off) panel. The days when petrol stations and hardware shops had parafin pumps.

Nope dont remember em
