ola,
hi omegos - just got back from Spain, what a holiday. Done the miles easy peasy, but it would be on a viffer wouldn't it lol. Its been very eventful from the start. Stopped off to fuel up in france, move your bike as you do away from pumps, having a chit chat with John & Dawn - NEXT what the fook - car heading straight for my bike, I shouts wow wow - guess what runs over our lass's helmet, spits it out spinning like a spinning top, bloke looks at me, struggs his shoulders and fooks off. Guess what nationality yeh GB. Gets clobbered up and helmet on and chases him and puts viser back on Julie's helmet - off we go to get him - never saw him again - the bastid. Checks Julie's helmet no serious damage, apart from scratches here and there - never mind it only cost me ?250. Second night in Spain we walked in to Salou for a piss up - its red hot, Dawn says "i think i felt a spot of rain" - nah your'e imaging it - one second later all hell breaks loose - the mother of all storms, we legged it to first of cover we could find and stood there laughing about the rain - John says it will have passed in a minute thats what storms are like here - well it didn't did it - next thunder and lightening, never in all my life I have seen anything like it, continuous flashing and banging loud enough to make you want to throw yourself to the floor. All power went off, hotel lights, traffic lights, everything except for one small fountain, whats that all about. As water rose cars started crashing into each other, complete caos, water is now rising high enough to be entering car doors. An hours gone by and if owt its getting worse, i'm scared now. All I could think about apart from dying is me viffer and John's bird - so thats it were going to have to go for it. The walk back is about a mile, we had to wade up to our knees at times in water which stank of raw sewage as non of the drains could take the volume of water that was coming out, god knows what we were walking through. Dustbins, debry, everything was floating about. It was dark cos of no street lights, all you got was flashing, banging, i was scared to fook. John nearly fell down a man hole that could of been very nasty. We got back, the bikes were safe, GREAT. Next day could not believe the amount of damage the storm had done. Somebody who had lived there 30 odd years said they had never seen a storm like that before. Three dead and a family missing. Hotels, shops flooded with water and mud, cars nackered - camp site we were on water complex all shut down cos filled with mud. Next few days everybody seems to rally round tidying up and just getting on with things. We settles into our holiday, Julie hangs her smalls on washing line, bra and thongs - guess what, some bastid nicks them. A fanton knicker sniffer. Rest of holiday goes great, lovely weather, good booze, great time with John and Dawn. Good laugh with hypnotist - guess who went under - clue lettuce. Journey back was trouble free, hotels great, last night in Calais was a right laugh, danced to the early hours in a rave bar. Had a kebab and off to bed - gets up in morning pair of us, could shit trough eye of a needle, food poisoning, that fooking kebab. Our lass managed to shit herself five times on the way home, twice on the ferry as well as spuing up. The journey from Dover consisted of stopping at every service station so as we could visit the toilet and we saw some nice toilets, lol. Anyway great holiday. John and Dawn will fill you in with the rest when they get back. $%3un :loo:
