seems the first vet got it wrong..having been back and seen another vet :bow:
the ferker has got a massive inner ear infection which is why her head hangs down to one side
the symptons are head hanging down, not eating and drinking very little, not being able to stand without falling over and sleeping a lot..oh and the eyes twitching fast from side to side all the time
it appears a stroke has all those symptons too :eek:
the reasons behind all the above symptons is the pressure in the inner ear gives you a vertigo feeling..everything spinning, feeling sick inside etc etc
she is walking now although still trips a little on steps and my arms seem to have increased in size with all the carrying of the ferking lump :rolleyes:
still it was nice feeding her baby food off me finger..NOT :puke:
and i did have a good chuckle when she was standing still one day and lifted her front right poor to move which was followed by an effotless complete sideways 360 degree spin of complete dog not going ass over tit but more paw over paw..followed by a quick get up and a look of ..what the fook happend there

Great news Reefer

I am so pleased it is something the vet can treat and hope she? will be running you ragged again soon. My Labrador went to the vets for a booster jab and is now on a strict diet. 47 Kilos isn't too big for a Lab is it? :eek:

I'm not sure about Labs, my GSD is 48 kilos but he is a big dog and he is on the outer limits on the chart but the Vet says he is just fine,

What does the vets chart give as ideal weight for a Lab?

hate to disappoint, but my mutt does exactly the same, or did until I worked out how to get the tablet to stay down, feed it to her as you said (chuck down throat etc) after she has swallowed (or appears to have) then blow down her nose, usually produces an involuntary swallow that she can't avoid!

works on the dog too ........ :}
