Digital Speed Cams

Those digi speed cams that face you, I take it they can ONLY take a picture of the front of the bike? There is no way they can get a picture of the number plate can they??

Reason I ask is because in a moment of madness last weekend in the early hours I gave the bike a handful, and went past one in naughty numbers, giving the camera the 'Bird' (middle finger to those who dont know. The camera flashed (Did not think digi ones did that?) So they got the picture, but now have very slight regrets, as in the paper that day was the picture of the guy giving the camera van the V sign, and fear is now gripping my arse ring. :xm

HHmmmm, the digi ones take excellent photos which can be enhanced to I.D. car drivers down to earings if worn. Not sure how good that would work on a full face lid though. :dunno:

They still won't have your plates. I've buzzed a facing-cam before and never heard from them.

C.B. Are you sure it was a digi? Gatsos are the ones that flash, can you remember if it flashed once or twice and were there markings on the road? Presume in the early hours....so dark....so should be OK. Also unusual to have one facing you on your side of road, normally facing away so to get a piccy as you have gone past, are you sure there were'nt two, one either side....just covering the angles. I would say Gatso...facing you....in the dark...no problem. As long as one did'nt get you going away. %$fan

Nope def a Digi one, it flashed once and it was daylight (I did say early hours ;o) Did not notice markings in the road other than the old markings from the previous camera, that was a rear plate one (Gatso) Got destroyed i believe.
