Yep, yesterday morning, still suffering from the ir Friday night hang over, they were stripping the shelves of our local supermarket of beer, even the Fosters was fast disappearing.

Went to the village shop yesterday afternoon to post a parcel & I've got more wine than they had on the shelf.

Says a lot about the great British public when panic buyers target all the alcohol, pasta & toilet roll.

Apparently alcohol is exactly what you shouldn't be doing with virus going around.

Rubbish !!
We are using raw alcohol as hand sanitiser
But we could use scotch if that runs out.. It was cheaper than hand cleaner in Spain

I am down to my last three inches or so of decent 'everyday' scotch.

Once that has gone I will have to start on the really decent stuff that I have been storing away for years if I can't get anything at the supermarket

I inherited a collection from my dad of over 600 bottles that he collected over about fifty years. I will be passing it on to my son unless I decide to start binge drinking!

The 'least desirable' of the stuff I have collected personally is five bottles of Royal Salute which would be my starting point if it comes to it......

1984 approx, I was given a bottle of whiskey by the firm I was working for, as they had won Queen's award for industry. My mum said it should be kept for the end of the world. Should I open it now :nusenuse:

A Strathisla blend. Which one have you got as there was more than one version of "Royal Salute"..?

One of each of the four colours of this plus an extra one in the burgundy.

Also got a load of the appallingly tacky Wade 'royal event' Bells decanters here but they aren't getting opened - can only see them going up in value over time.

This is a terrible thing to write, and I'll probably go to hell for this, but I really hope Darwin is going to play a major role in the alcohol stockpiling. I just hope that they stay off the roads and don't take any innocents down with them.
