Got a day off on monday....YIPEEE :zpong:
Anyway I have a Velux Blind to fit ,obviously to a velux window, in the kitchen..
I also have an oil leak to fix on the old Bandit 12..(Cam cover)...Oh and steering
head bearings too.
The former will get me brownie points with the wife and the latter will make me feel
better in myself..
What do you reckon? Be Mr Domestic Husband...Or shall i come over all Ogri..and do the bike???

The Velux blind will take no time at all, did a blackout one and it took all of about 15 minutes. What you need to do is make out the Velux job is a bastid and will take quite a while thereby giving you plenty of time to do the Bandit, you get both jobs done and brownie points. Do remember to cash in brownie points very soon after, I've found they loose their value very rapidly.

+1 on that. If the wife is out all of Monday then get the blind done as soon as possible, then work on the bike.
As Johnboy said....lay it on thick about doing the blind, when she comes in. :D

You are so right about brownie points, Johnboy. By next day they have disappeared like a summer mist when the sun rises.

Never mind brownie points, over the years I have learnt that the rules for sympathy in my home are as follows...

Manbola 1-2 hours
Cold - zero hours
Drunk - zero hours
Day surgery - 24 hours
Major surgery - 20 minutes, or the length of the journey home after being discharged

I assume by now all chores are complete and you are making tea for extra brownie points.

If she's anything like my wife, hits every pot hole driving me home from having spine surgery, she also states "you can find sympathy in the dictionary between shit and syphilis".

I agree - after a couple of lousy nights of non-sleep I was on a good one this morning....until the phone went off at 7.20 with a text message from a mate asking me if I knew what type of bricks his house is made of!

When I had my head turned inside out for sinus surgery last year, my sympathy from Mrs P lasted well over a week.

Sympathy following my knee surgery the year before that stopped as soon as I discharged myself from hospital the day after the op on the grounds that I was bored; it went negative when I was back in the gym five days later on me crutches.

Few weeks back I was rushed from work to hospital in an ambulance with AF, normally I would have been admitted for a few days but luckily everything returned to normal apart from the fact I still had a chest infection, next day Bev had me pushing two large round bales of haylage into the horses.
