In buying a house appears to be mobile phone reception, unbelievable Jeff.
even more so internet signal. Our friends in Wales went from virtually zero to unacceptable to limited but really really expensive** to excellent when a cable was laid to their village last year. Without it very few were able to work from home.

** as evidenced by the bill he got when one of our friends decided to download Microsoft Office while they were staying:eeeeek:

Have you ever lived in a house with a bad signal. Someone I know is glued to inside of patio door to get a signal. Only place with coverage. It's OK in good weather they can go outside.

My brother did external insulation on his holiday house. It has strong aluminium foil both sides. The wireless modem sits on the window cill now.
