w;;v Top journal of the trip. Ours was very similar. The weather went from hot in the south and bloody freezing on the way back between Madrid and Santander we even saw snow! Fantastic country, cheap fuel, lovely people who are bike mad, good atmosphere at the race, brilliant virtually empty roads and they are building more just about everywhere. It was good to meet you and put a face to a name maybe we will see you on the next one!

...Couldn't agree more - Spain's a brilliant place, and I can see now why so many people want to go there to live.

Glad to have met you and it's good to know that you're home, safe and well.

Cheers, M8!

Pictures are ace. better scenery than on the lakes run.

I "did" northern Spain about 12 years ago. This has brought it all back.
Anyone want to babysit three kids for a fortnight:B

Glad you both enjoyed yourselves.

Looks like someone had a great time...

Funnily enough you were only about 100metres away from Jan & I, and about 50metres from Trophychap & Jenny at the track.

Bloody lovely day, but it took nearly 2 hours to get out by car:xm

Pete's comment about Spain at the airport was "Well that was my first time in Spain, and I wont be rushing to get back"!!!...

Jan & I enjoyed it despite having a robbery at the villa (I Lost my mobile phone, and Pete & Jenny lost about ?400 which they had left in a bedside drawer- Bugger!)

See ya soon both.

Lots of love,

Rolfy & Jan

...Yup...We had a GREAT time...

Cheers Roxxo, Pilot and Rolfy - and thanks to Pete&Jen, and Barrie for the e-mails! :yo:

We'll probably be going to Catalunya again next year. (If we all speak nicely to Rhino, maybe he'll duplicate the great job he did last June.) My main ambition, though, is to get to Phillip Island; we'll have to wait and see what happens on that one, though!

Rolfy: it goes without saying that if we'd known you guys were so close to us we'd have dropped-in for a beer! Despite there being over 120,000 people at the race, we were out of the place in thirty minutes - and that included a ten-minute chat with a couple we'd met on the boat!

In her e-mail, Jen told us about the robbery and also of Pete's poor first impression of Spain. :B

Never mind - our journey didn't start out too well this time, but remember:

"things can only get better!" :p

Thanks for all your good wishes everyone - ride safe and we'll see you next time around (we hope)...

...in SPAIN!!

DA, do you fancy 'BRNO' 2006?

I was going to run it by SWMBO later tonight (via phone of course as i'm a coward).

I've already bought a map and it looks like quite a slog but a worthy one.

Gonna have to think about that one, Rhino? :dunno: For next year Lorraine and I were thinking of going to Estoril, then touring across to Valencia. According to the provisional 2006 calendar, the season ends a month earlier, so the weather (particularly, the weather at sea! ) might be a bit kinder, too!

As I mentioned previously, I?m toying with the idea of going to Phillip Island ? which is scheduled for just 4 weeks after Brno - but I guess it?s too early for me to commit to anything as yet, as Lorraine also wants to go to Jerez! :h That gives me quite a considerable ?wish-list? for next year ? although the ones in red are the ?hot favourites? at the moment -

March, 26th - Spain, Jerez de la Frontera

June, 18th - Catalunya, Catalunya

July, 2nd - Great Britain, Donington Park

August, 20th - Czech Republic, Brno

September, 17th - Australia, Phillip Island

October, 22nd - Portugal, Estoril
October, 29th - Valencia, Ricardo Tormo

...Still...There's plenty of time...Let's see what the bosses (SWMBO) have to say! :p

Cheers, M8!
