Strange happenings going on around here.
New cycle and pedestrian one way systems painted on the roads and pavements.
Scrubbed out junctions and repainted white throughfare lines down the middle of roads.
Double yellow lines painted feckin everywhere, parking bays painted across from residents houses
they have been parking directly outside their houses for years.
Today a Highways Council letter drops through the letterbox.
Heading: Residents consultaion on recent cycleway improvements Tues 11th Aug
between 5 and 6 pm. but they have already done the feckin work!!!
In a nutshell......
A national strategy to promote walking and cycling.
Budget to be spent within 6 weeks of receipt.
Works to be taken at pace for the use of an experimental traffic regulation order.
Consultation 'not prior' and to consult over a 12 month period, once works have been completed.
Ward councillors and network manager will be undertaking a 'door knock' 'see above dates',
within the affected areas.
Following consultation recieved to date we are proposing to amend the extent of the lining and
introduce a one way system.
We appreciate..blah blah feckin blah.
Well i can't wait, cause the feckin mess these wankers have left on the roads i.e. feckin loose gravel
and debris everywhere..I will donate a 6ft wide feckin yard brush cause they have obviously spent their
budget and can't afford one.
