only the lardys and I'm doing something about that!!
and the ones that can ride properly get trouble with ground clearance or are following someone that can!!
not many on here then? I certainly don't qualify for either of those categories:k
and at last something we agree on!!

I have to say, I find this somewhat hard to believe.:t

Have got my my bird over so that my pegs and lower fairings are scraping on the ground, there's never bee any evidence that the pillion pegs were anywhere near the floor. In fact, I'm sure the tyres would have let go, or the lower body panels lifted the bike so the front tyre lost contact well before the pillion pegs got anywhere near the tarmac.

Attached is a picture of my bike haveing been down the road on its side and you can see tha can is bashed in but the pillion peg is untouched, so who telling lies here?

So, prove me wrong and lets have some photo's of said ground down pillion pegs!!!

I am with Al on this one.. esp given the rear pegs are set in from the cans !

I suspect we are being a little harsh here though and it is us who are not understanding the words as they are meant :p

I am guessing you mean the front pegs, was gonna type in rear sets ( or something similar ) and it all came out wrong ...

Hopefully the 6 +mm spacer will give him enough clearence, but do check the front springs aint sagged badly ( very common ! )
Quick rough guide ( very rough ) ..
Find someone with average sized hands.. get them to make a fist. With the thumb at the top and the little finger at the bottom see if the fist will slide between the front fender and the underside of the nose cone.
If it will not slide in just touching top and bottom then the springs are on the way out and that is why he is decking the thing out all the time..

Course, he could be a tart like me and replace the peg feelers with titanium ones.. showering folk in sparks is just SOOO much fun !

i think maybe he was talking about the pillions shoes - yeah cause when i look at my bird it would have to be lying on its side to go near the pillion pegs?

He's not a heavy bloke and the bikes only 2ys old - can't imagine springs gone yet?

Pillion has got be be sitting some funny way for that to happen. never happened to me, on the back of any bike no matter how far they've been over
