I'm "disgusted" why make this law?? think of all those law abiding football fans that like a good drink going to and from the matches that wont be able to drink now, so it looks like they will have to get tanked up when they get to their destinations now :xm still if they leave in plenty of time they will be in the towns longer so wont be drinking ON the trains,
should stop all the violence at either end eh???

OK roxxo so Ive had my day out at the bike show at Brums NEC and I have a 5-6 hour ride home on the train. Whats wrong with me having a drink with my meal?

The laws are in place at the moment for anyone who is drunk and disorderly in public, what IS required is the enforcement of the current laws not another set of legislation that is going to be ignored by the mindless idiots who do cause trouble.

I went to the Canaries this year on holiday and we were subjected to some really foul language from a geordie lass who had consumed a large quantity of vodka. She hadnt bought it on the plane but brought it aboard in her hand luggage. The stewardess asked her on several occasions to behave and then asked for her passport and gave her a final written warning.

The lass continued with the abuse and was arrested by the Spanish police at Las Palmas airport, sent home on the next flight and informed that she would no longer be able to fly with that tour operator. What is the betting that not only her but everyone on that plane will never ever cause trouble on a flight again.

I repeat what is required is ENFORCEMENT of the CURRENT laws not another feckin set.
