My landlord decided I needed a new more economical oil boiler ( nothing wrong with the old one) So 2 weeks ago they fitted a condensation boiler. It cut out twice last week and I had to go into the garden where the boiler is and press the reset button. Last night it was cold so turned on the heating and it didn't work, couldn't go and reset it as it was dark and raining. So went out this morning and there is no power to the boiler, checked fuse board and all ok. so now waiting for someone to come and fix it.

They were right when they said it would use less oil

anyone know anything about these boilers?

Rant over

Yes,,,, I know about them

They are a 100% pain in the parts until they settle in and get sorted properly !

My oil boiler ( a pressure jet type) is now 14 years old. Other than when some water got into the oil line and buggered up the pump, it never misses a beat. The service guy changes the jet every two years and moans that there is no soot for him to sweep out.
