It makes me laugh to see 15 year olds preaching about cleaning up the planet, they can’t even clean their bedrooms.

They just get on my tits... Ask one the turds to walk to school instead of mummy taking them in the family 4x4, or to grow some vegetables rather than promote the billions of food miles that racked up, and they look at you as if you are mad

Another one that came up was: A 15 year old who runs away to join a terrorist group isn’t old enough to know what they’re doing, but a 15 year old talking about climate change is an expert who has to be listened to.

In fairness our and the previous three or four generations have done more damage to our planet than the previous generations and the youngsters have a much better appreciation of the environment than my generation did at their age. Which has to be a good thing?

What does ha k me off is hearing some of the younger generation claiming to be ‘the lost generation ‘. What’s that all about?

I'm getting really pissed off with snotty teenagers ranting at us about what "our" generation has done to the planet.
If they'd paid a bit more attention in school then they'd know that air and water pollution has been a major threat to health and the environment for centuries.

What they should be complaining about is the woefully inadequate investment in recycling, production of more sustainable materials and producing more biodegradable materials.
But then again, this is the generation who are obsessed with disposable gadgets with manufacturing processes which have a disproportionately negative impact on the environment.
Odd too that this generation is so concerned about the environment and climate change, yet the numbers who are opting to study the sciences are at their lowest recorded levels.
You can't save the planet with a degree in Media Studies.

If they want to protest about pollution then set up their pitch outside the US, Chinese and Indian embassies around the world.
