Clapping to start from 2000 hours, tomorrow night again. This time, it's not just for the NHS but all front line workers.

I'm pleased it's not just for the NHS. As far as I'm concerned, the hero worship of the NHS is quite misplaced but it's about time shelf-stackers, delivery drivers, dustmen, etc. were recognised. If they didn't work through the pandemic, we'd be be seriously buggered. Whilst her job might not seem front line to some, Mrs P has worked non-stop throughout the pandemic. As well as carrying idiots back and forth their European skiing trips, she's also done countless rescue flights to recover stranded travellers and even more cargo flights.

I'm not sure I can be arsed to stand on my door step clapping at thin air, to be honest. The novelty wore off very quickly last time. I'm a terrible person, I know.

And who pray will decide what is fair and commensurate? Lets not forget it was the Blair creature that exacerbated pfi‘s where the shareholder gets payed before anything helps the patient IE taking money away from the front line.
Lots of people do dangerous jobs and you can always make the case that money is the answer to the problems but we had better be prepared to pay a lot more tax and all this while more jobs are being lost a catch 22 situation.
Guy I know is an ICU nurse and a thoroughly nice fellow biker, he has worked all over Xmas and being on bank has worked in most of the hot spots in the country notably South Wales, to the extent he contracted the virus and subsequently gave it to his wife. Went into isolation and went straight back to work afterward when he was clear. When I asked him was it worth the risk he said the money was to good to turn down, so go figure.

When the Clap for the NHS happened last time most of our neighbours were out, doing it.....but not the Hyacinth Bucket wannabe next door. It took a couple of weeks before she cottoned on and joined in. We were then regularly "treated" to a totally over the top display of her and her spineless husband strutting up and down in front of her house clapping with hands above her head.
I really can't be arsed with watching that sort of false virtue signalling so I'll be passing on this clapping.
I'll applaud the missus instead, as she goes to work daily at the local surgery... where she has to put up with daily abuse on the phone and from twats who turn up at the surgery with no appointment, demanding to see someone.

Some burd posted in the WalesOnline page on Faecebook this morning "It was a hollow gesture before and will be the same now. But if it reminds people of why we are having these restrictions then that's all good."

That it's mostly trolls, fuckwits and idiots that post on WalesOnline's threads is not a great endorsement, but that is singularly the most sensible and accurate post I've ever read. Whilst I agree with the lady in question, I still won't bother.

BTW, does Mrs Wannabe Bucket have big tits?

Difficult to tell as she has the physique of a 5ft tall stack of used motorcycle tyres and given that her alternative nickname is Pig Face......
