We live in a reasonably affluent area and it is worrying how many people are relying on the food bank - there was a big jump in demand when Covid19 initially hit as people were panicking but there is a fairly sizeable hardcore remaining.

The good thing is that the vast majority of those that I have met through my asociation with the organisation are lovely people who would do a lot to get away from being reliant on charity.

I use a shop called “the company shop” they sell end of line & goods coming up to best before dates, it is a closed membership open to emergency services, NHS & Prison service.
They opened a food bank but the also allow the food bank users to use the company shop, the result is now the shop is full of Eastern Europeans spending hundreds of pounds a time in there, if they can afford to spend that amount then htf are they allowed to use food banks?
