I got a reminder for my insurance in the post this morning. The premium quoted was ?156.00 including ?25 for legal cover. So, I got on-line and had a delve around and came up with eBike at ?94.50 for the same cover including legal assistance.
So, I phoned my current company and said thank you, but no thank you. When asked why, I explained that I had got a cheaper quote with eBike and didn't expect them to match the quote. Then the agent went into one saying that they had the "right" to be given the chance to give me a better quote. So I said, "If you really wanted my business, you would have given me a better quote in the first place, rather than let me look around then whinge because you're shit at your job!" At this point I hung up, cheeky bastards!!!
Still, the old girl is covered for another year and doing it on-line means I didn't have to talk to a call centre oik - which is a huge bonus!
