My boss has a brand new never used on the road, less then 2 miles on the clocks CBX 1000 that he no longer wants to keep & I would love to buy it from him & re-kindle fond memories of my old CBX from years gone by, but have no idea what it worth.

Any help & advise would be greatfully

well, I have no real idea but can make this unquantified statement for what it's worth.
You sound like my age-ish, so I guess, you, like me drooled over them in about 80 / 81. We had a guy who was a regular at our pub who "worked on the oil rigs" and he was the only one with the cash to afford one back then. It looked stunning, and he fitted a 6 into 1 pipe, and it sounded even better. Fuck you Benelli 900 sei !!!!!
Now then, his, like most, destroyed itself due to that main crank oil starvation issue they had. I read in MCM at some point that one of the main oilwys gets blocked due to remnant machining swarf, point is you never know, but bear this in mind, if it's done 2 miles, you might want to consider this minor potential problem. Lord knows how you'll know without an engine strip, but worth researching when Honda finally nailed the recall, if ever?
I saw one just 2 weeks back, it still looked lovely, with the exception of the front forks, that's the only thing that puts me off older bikes, the front forks always look like spaghetti !!! I love the CB900F, and have owned one, but I caught sight of one in January and was astounded how dated and spindly it looked. Lastly, I guess without looking on t'internet that a mint CBX will be in the region of ?5k minimum. I saw one at some classic show in the last 3 years and it was up for that kind of money.

cheers, Hec
