At work we seem to be getting more people wanting to pay with cash, personally I prefer to pay by card, what does everyone else think

I always have a little cash on me for brews etc from the roadside type seller but mostly pay by card in the bigger shops.
But before Rona, a lot of shops had a minimum spend in order to use a card.

I'll take either, but if it's American Express then you can put your head between somebody else's tits and go "bubble, bubble, bubble...".

Card every time.

Hopefully cash will be done away with at some point making it harder for those that don't declare income.

Card as often as possible. I carry very little cash on me but sometimes paying cash does have its advantages.

And easier to scam as proved recently with Bank of Ireland .

They eventually had to repay hundreds of people. They had been notified of the scam about a year before it took off.

People got text messages from "the bank" telling them their account was being hacked and getting them to log in.
Several IT people were on the radio saying that the set up was 100% as if it came from the bank and the web site was unidentifiable from real web site.

Neither. Red lead and a wire brush :D

Reminds me of that Billy Connolly joke.....

The Queen visits a Scottish army hospital and visits ward A. Inside is a Scots soldier lying on his front with a cage and a blanket over his bum. The Queen turns to the Sergeant Major who is escorting her through the hospital and asks:
“Sergeant, what is this soldier in hospital for?”
"Ma'am he is suffering from a terrible case of piles."
"Oh dear" replies the Queen "And what’s the treatment for that?"
"Wire brush and Dettol three times a day".
Turning to the soldier she asks " And do you have any ambition left in life?"
"Aye Ma'am, I want tae beat this terrible affliction and get back to serve my Queen and Country" he replies
"That's very commendable of you " she says and pins a medal of honour on his bum.

She moves onto the second patient and asks the Sergeant Major “What is this man in for?"
“I’ve no sympathy for this man, a self-inflicted wound, he has a venereal disease.”
"And what’s the treatment for that?"
"Wire Brush and Dettol three times a day, Ma’am".
Turning to the soldier she asks " And do you have any ambition left in life?"
"Aye Ma'am, I want tae beat this terrible affliction and get back to serve my Queen and Country" he replies
"That's very commendable of you " she says and pins a medal of honour on his chest.

She moves onto the last patient and asks him “What are you in hospital for?"

The soldier replies in a croaky voice "Tonsillitis"
The Queen, quite relieved asks "And what’s the treatment for that?"
"Wire Brush and Dettol three times a day ma'am "comes the croaky reply
"Oh, but isn’t that awfully painful?" She gasps.
"Whatever it takes to beat this affliction and get back to serving My Queen And Country" He Says Proudly
"And Do You Have any ambition left in life?" she asks.
"Aye," the man replies "I like to get the Wire brush and Dettol before those two other dirty bastards!!!"

I find using a card is easier to track what I spend, I get cash out and it seems to evaporate into thin air

I’m in a temp-camp motorhome site in Switzerland and it’s 20sfr to be put in an honesty box. I don’t have any spare Sfr as I only want to pay by card abroad. Ho-hum. Anyway, I’ve filled with water. But there’s no other facilities worth talking about, and it ain’t worth £15, robbin’ bastids.
