Matty, stick me down for the southern/eastern bit at least, but I'd like to do it all if I can. Dates should be ok for me, but can you edit the first post with an up to date synopsis of the plans as its getting very difficult to sipher whats happening from all the various thoughts and suggestions.
Personally I think it should start near you, then spiral out to the suggested route. You will after all have to make your own way to a start point so why not just add that to the route.

The first post will be updated as and when plans are finalised, myself and matty are still finalising all the plans and as you will appriciate this can take lots of time.bmwdumptruck said:

Sounds good Tony. A small suggestion when you are redoing the route; don't forget the Scots lads. It would be easy to run a spur to say Glasgow from Carlisle, so they can do that part of the run locally. We want everyone we can get to do a leg.tonymac said:

svxistentialist I understand what your say but we have 3 days to do the route unless and the route i have at the min is 2 days and 5 hours with no hold ups or problems, if i include scotland then i will have the welsh moaning ( they have already) which will take us well into a forthday that we dont have. i have to allow time for hold up and problems etc etc.svxistentialist said:

Been working on the route today and wil get the map up for everyone to see later tonight / tomorrow night so everyone can see and we can adjust to find the best roads possible

Sure thing Tony, I only mentioned Scotland, a quick foray into the Lowlands, because I though the western leg went into Wales.
My mates and I did a tour incl England, Scotland and Wales recently. We used this Biker map for the good roads: Map
Maybe you could take your time and pick a couple of nice bike friendly roads?

Just picked up on the thread.
Count me in for the northern part, may be more if I've been made redundant by then!
