Why when an aircraft is coming in to land, we have to put our seats back to the upright position, does it prevent the plane from crashing? :dunno:

Still kickin' it!
....Fer Gawd's SAKE...

...You have to put the seats up so the plane can land....

...If you didn't, then it would just keep pointing upwards, you silly...

...(I thought everybody knew this...I can't be the only one...!!!) :dunno:

On that theory when a plane is taking off seats should be as far back as they can go to enable take off, it's obvious,.....but they still make us put them in the upright position, plus why do the pilot and co pilot get the best seats all the time? it's not fair

seats need to be upright on take off and landing cos its easier to flap your arms to help the plane take off and land gently just in case the engines lose power and need help :neenaw: :neenaw:

It's to stop you nutting the guy in the seat in front in the event of a sudden stop as you have only a lap-belt. Military passenger aircraft have the seats facing backwards. Much safer. There's always one boring old fart who answers the question seriously!!! Someone else's turn next time. c7u8

...NO!!! The seats have to be upright on takeoff because you wouldn't be able to use the sick bag properly, would you? :puke:

...(sigh!)...If you're not going to be serious about this and stop all this shilly-shallying around I shan't bother anymore...(Cue abuse!)...
