More to the point....

What if a foreigner wins it? What's the process for, say, me (Canadian) being buried in the UK....but no family or history there?

Errm...I think you have to buy it not win it. Still, ask any Yorkshire man and he'll tell you God is from Yorkshire. So you should be able to jump the queue at the perly gates if you get buried in Leeds.

Damn, the auction has finished, I was going to buy it for the dragon in law, she fits the criteria being a catholic and living on Wykebeck valley road just behind killingbeck, and she would just about fit in a hole dug for four people, next step how to bump her off.
