Talking of which, if old school appetites have been 'wetted' the Classic Club have a double header this weekend at Donington if anyone is interested..
Few races and practice today and full program Saturday and Sunday..
I shall be doing at least one, if it ever stops fuggin raining ...
mite be worth a ride down to have a looksee at the track alterations :dunno:

Leon Haslam cut his teeth on one of them, then he moved up to the modern rev and go stuff when he was about twelve lol... Think he was the youngest ever to be granted special dispensation to get his racing licience in the UK :yo:

I can remember watching him at Mallory, he was doing doughnuts at the hairpin waiting for the rest of the field to catch up...
It was a well tricked up machine tho to be fair :-0)

They liked my “Three Sisters” report, so I was invited to the Lydden meeting and given “access to all areas”. I’ve been to every type of race meeting, from “Club” to MotoGP, but I’ve never been made to feel as welcome anywhere; hence, the “King” bit…

Ain’t said much about the Kwakka ‘cos I can’t catch me breath. :-0)

Done 6.5K on it and it’s quite a character.
